Shacklabank Farm is a small traditional working farm offering two static caravans beautifully situated in their own grounds. Depending on the time of year you are more than welcome to watch many of our annual farming events - lambing in springtime, hatching of new chicks & ducklings, foaling and calving in May, shearing of sheep and haymaking in June & July, and on a daily basis (by arrangement), egg collecting.

The farm enjoys superb views of the Lune Valley and Howgill Fells.

The caravans are fully fitted with hot & cold running water, toilet and shower facilities. They sleep up to 6 people with one double and one twin room, plus a convertible double in the lounge. The sites around the caravan have space for two cars, and their own gardens and grassed patio areas with picnic tables and chairs. The larger caravan has its own paddock and stream for your use. Both caravans look out across open fields and fells.

Shacklabank is just 2 miles from Junction 37 off the M6 motorway, 3 miles from Sedbergh, 10 miles from Kirby Lonsdale and 7 miles from Kendal. Located at the foot of the Howgill Fells this is an ideal location for walking or touring holidays. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are closeby.

Facilities in the area include a 9 hole golf course at Sedbergh and an 18 hole course at Kirby Lonsdale, tennis courts in Sedbergh and local caves to explore at Ingleton. Swimming takes place in the River Lune, just 1 mile away, but the more warm blooded may prefer the Leisure Centre in Kendal! Sedbergh is the nearest town, but for the larger shopping expedition Kendal and Lancaster are worth a visit.

Weekly rates from £180 to £230, including gas and electricity.
