The Shepherds Barn is a recently renovated 19th century stone barn which was used in years past as a store for hay and a shelter for the sheep and shire workhorses from the winters.

The barn truly lives up to its name as it belongs to Thomas and Anne Longton, Thomas is an internationally acclaimed sheepdog handler who is most publically recognised for winning the supreme championship and the title of one man and his dog, infact the opening sequences of the popular television programme was filmed in the meadows of the barn.

The Shepherds theme is tastefully echoed around the barn and the clever blend of contemporary open plan design and traditional architectural features offer a high level of luxury, comfort and space and the added history and tradition of the Longton's art of sheepdog handling offers a unique holiday destination which can be enjoyed by all ages and by all the family

There are breath-taking views to been enjoyed from every room in the Shepherds barn over the valley of Quernmore into the Forest of Bowland .

Within the courtyard is a seating/dining area which is accessible from the side entrance of the barn and from the patio doors in the lounge, the courtyard and the original feature of the 19th century sandstone flagging.
