The Byre

The Byre Deepdale Hall Patterdale Cumbria

Sleeps 4 plus cot and high chair

A very tastefully converted cottage the floors are all finished in solid oak apart from the bedrooms which are fitted with Herdwick carpet made in Kendal.  The first floor has a vaulted ceiling with all original beams retained, clever use of lighting emphasizes the features of the old barn. The 'Byre' was used as a byre for tying cows up in and had a Hay loft over it.

It has 2 bedrooms  on the ground floor, one double, one a twin and a bathroom with bath and myra shower over it. An oak staircase leads to the first floor.

The first floor is open plan and has a large lounge at one end dining are in the middle and fully fitted kitchen at the other end. There is also a shower room adjoining the kitchen.

Because it is what is known as a bank barn there is access on both levels, with a large opening where the double doors were and a view of Aiken crag.

The Byre is oil central heated and is double glazed and so is very cosy . There is also a wood burner in the lounge area.
