Pheasant is an end cottage adjoining Partridge and the Old Stables. Attractive decorations and furnishings make this a cosy cottage for a family holiday.

The lounge is open plan leading to the dining and kitchen areas. There is a painted ' Mark Wilkinson ' kitchen with granite worktops and attractive decorations. The floors are a mixture of tile, slate and wood with rugs in the living and dining areas. A real open fire completes the cosy picture.

Partridge Cottage Sleeps 6 plus cot

Partridge Cottage is the middle cottage between Pheasant Cottage and Old Stables. Attractive decorations and furnishings make this a cosy cottage for a family holiday.

The lounge is open through to the dining and kitchen area, which has a painted ' Mark Wilkinson ' kitchen with granite work surfaces and original decorations. The kitchen floor is slate, while rugs cover the wooden floors of the living and dining areas. The real open fire creates a cosy focal point, especially in the evenings when it is dark outside or if you are enjoying a winter break.

The Piggeries Sleeps 4 plus cot

The Piggeries, as its name suggests, was created from the original piggeries.

The view across to the coast and Lake District enjoyed by those bygone pigs was spectacular by day and magical at night, and remains no less so today.

There is a large open plan living / dining / kitchen area with a fabulous hand-painted ' Mark Wilkinson ' kitchen. Two sets of French doors open out into the garden area.

The Old Stables Sleeps 8 plus cot

As its name suggests, the Old Stables was where the horses were kept many years ago, except that the wooden partitions and hayracks have now been replaced by a beautiful ' Mark Wilkinson ' American Oak kitchen. Where once the horses drank from cast iron troughs, an American fridge freezer dispenses chilled spring water and crushed ice.

Downstairs, the huge open plan kitchen / living / dining / conservatory area is warmed constantly by the gleaming pewter Aga cooker, which can be boosted by a wood burning stove on colder days. A separate small sitting room is ideal for quiet moments.
